reading A Lady For All Seasons and Verbena is SO ME I love her trying to secure her own long-term happiness before having an affair with a poetess <3 very practical and thoughtful of her! After reading A Gentleman’s Gentleman and disliking it immensely because Christopher is SO. DAMN. STUPID. (I dislike that book an unreasonable amount) I’m grateful to have an MC with some damn sense. Which sort of leads me to wonder what TJ Alexander was doing when they were writing a gentleman’s gentleman since clearly they’re capable of writing good characters </3

and then when american (/english-speaking??) fanfiction gets adapted, it's always wattpad fanfic, and we always get stuff like 50 shades or idea of you or kissing booth
