I feel so silly right now

I'm working on a coding project with someone, and part of it involves TTS in a language I don't know

now, of course, the first TTS system they look at is in that language, which makes it really difficult to figure out what's going on

so I spend a few hours trying to figure out what it's saying, I turn on the translation feature of my browser, I try to build context about what's going on

and of course

at the end of like 5 hours trying to figure stuff out

I find the toggle to English

reading A Lady For All Seasons and Verbena is SO ME I love her trying to secure her own long-term happiness before having an affair with a poetess <3 very practical and thoughtful of her! After reading A Gentleman’s Gentleman and disliking it immensely because Christopher is SO. DAMN. STUPID. (I dislike that book an unreasonable amount) I’m grateful to have an MC with some damn sense. Which sort of leads me to wonder what TJ Alexander was doing when they were writing a gentleman’s gentleman since clearly they’re capable of writing good characters </3
