So Prey is a 2006 game which featured a Cherokee protagonist. The ending is left quite purposefully open-ended as the protagonist is seen walking through a portal to meet "people who have taken interest in him" and the words "Prey will continue..." appear on the screen.

8 years later, Prey will be getting that sequel soon! The rights were transferred to Bethesda in 2009 and work was confirmed to be underway in 2013. Obviously our Cherokee protagonist will be reprising his role as the main character because that's where the original game was hinting at going and there's no real reason to change that, right?
