6 miles shouldn't have been so much of a struggle for Sam. But it was; by the last few yards she was wheezing and panting heavily. Her legs were tight and burning. Sweat dripped down her face and stung her eyes. She slowly slowed to a complete stop and placed her hands on her knees; hunched over, and tried to catch her breath. Lilith had worked her extra hard today. She was up at the crack of dawn working. Strength training; agility; self defense, and basic cardio work before the run. She hadn't been this tried in a long time. Everything hurt; she couldn't understand why people felt so good after working out. She felt like death. She finally caught her breath and lifted herself up with a soft groan.
