“What’s that in your bag…? Is that–? Tell me it’s not!”
basic angst starters.

mina is what most people consider to be a ‘good person’, who obeys the laws and follows the rules without any temptation for breaking them. she lives by them, she doesn’t just adhere to them like some people might. always driving the speed limit, never littering, she’s the ideal citizen that would make any law enforcement agent proud.
she was raised to be like this, her parents always had a set of rules that she dare not break. stay away from drugs, don’t drink underage, she’s never committed either of those crimes before in her life. people know this about her, especially her friends, the other students at her university and her coworkers. of course they’d be surprised to find that she would do something that went against the law.
so she isn’t surprised by the other’s shock upon discovering the small bag of marijuana tucked under the other belongings in her purse. dark eyes flash over to capture the other girl’s expression, quickly tugging her purse back into her lap and zipping it shut.
“ it’s impolite to go through other people’s belongings, even if we are friends. “ scolding her friend for her invasive behavior, only because mina has something to hide. it probably isn’t the safest place to keep an illegal drug, but she’s never handled anything like this before so she doesn’t know the steps to take in order to keep it a secret.
“ i haven’t actually done it, yet. “ she murmurs under her breath, teeth gnawing at the hollow of her cheek. she’s telling the truth now — but even if she’s just holding onto the drug for now that doesn’t make it legal. she knows that being in possession of it could get her into a lot of trouble.
“ don’t tell anyone. “
