Having been in Port Vale for a couple of days meant that Soren had a successful training shift at The Houseboat under his belt and had been working to settle in nicely at his apartment - furnishing were proving to be a bit of a struggle, but it wasn’t like Soren was used to living the luxurious life anyway. He was content with a blanket and a pillow in the corner on the floor - besides, cooking had been a much more interesting activity than interior design, so that morning Soren had risen with the sun and had busted out the cookbook Siobhan had given him. Unfortunately, he’d forgotten to pay attention to the serving size, and had ended up with way more food than he and Wren could eat...
...so he came a’knocking on Amara’s door at the Mermaid Inn, where she’d told him she was staying. After checking with the employee at the desk, he’d headed over, and was happy to greet her with a grin and a wrapped plate of a delicious dish called ‘casserole’. “Good morning!” He chirped, despite it being after noon. “I brought breakfast, you hungry?”
