Valorie Curry as Kelsey in House of Lies 4.01 | At the End of the Day, Reality Wins
saw evil dead burn with a cutie and we possibly kissed but only in ur dreams bozo hahaha
not only is my ass fat but my room is also a shit hole so i’m like the whole package
hey creepy gals
a lil under boob for the ladies
my personal view on kelsey was that he was a real kid until his manslaughter. theres a lot of things that don’t add up if he was an agony being or a projection from the start, for example, heather and friends go to his house where he also has a family. as far as we know, agony beings or projections have never been shown to conjure up entire buildings or families and it takes a lot of weird leaps in logic. and when kelsey goes missing, someone reports him … the story never says a friend reported him missing, and school faculty cant just report a student missing, implying that who reported him missing was his own family.
so what does that make kelsey at the end of the story? who is he? i think hes the same ol’ kelsey, but revived. and revived wirh a particular goal in mind too, to balance the scales. justice. evident by the slithering in the walls at the abandoned pizzeria, i think it’s obvious eleanor has something to do with this. andrew and eleanor are supposedly behind every frights story, but if kelsey is a real kid, then whats eleanors involvement? i think she is reviving this boy, making him repeat the cycle of his death over and over, probably to harvest agony out of him. we have seen eleanor revive people before. and kelsey,, is possibly aware of his purpose (maybe not of eleanor herself), and all he wants to do is balance the scales, which is why hes a lot more sinister and direct upon going up to the two teens at the ending.
tldr: kelsey is a real kid and his reappearance at the end of the story is eleanor reviving him and him falling into and knowingly participating in a cycle of corrupted “justice” as his “purpose” (however likely not aware of eleanor herself)
oomf noticed most of the symbolism with the paper cut on my last post, but theres a little more to it that i want to share ….
like they said, paper is something harmless but always has the capacity to hurt someone, but paper cuts are almost always accidental. but heres the other half of the symbolism… papercuts are easy to heal and you’ll forget about it with time, but your blood will always stain the paper forever and make it unusable to some people. like how kelsey can always come back from when he dies and recoup, but devon can’t, and his family and friends are forever effected.
ooh, oooh, and another piece for a different metaphor, the fly/venus trap. flies are hated by most people, seen as disgusting and a sign of filth, seen as ugly. seen as annoying and a pest, which is why people get flytraps … so they can get rid of the annoying pest in their homes. :)
and the inmate/electric chair …. while the electric chair is killing him, there is knowledge that he did something horrible to get into that said situation, and depending on your feelings on capital punishment, deserved.
