WHICH GREEK GOD / GODDESS DO YOU REFLECT THE MOST ?

YOUR  RESULT:  ARTEMIS.

In the classical period of Greek mythology, Artemis was often described as the daughter of Zeus and Leto, and the twin sister of Apollo. She was the Hellenic goddess of the hunt, wild animals, wilderness, childbirth, virginity and protector of young girls, bringing and relieving disease in women; she often was depicted as a huntress carrying a bow and arrows. The deer and the cypress were sacred to her. In many modern practices, she is recognized as a protector of lesbians.

"Your dedication to your family's bakery and your passion for web design have been significant aspects of your life. How do you find fulfillment and purpose in these pursuits? Do you ever feel torn between your artistic inclinations and the practicalities of life, and if so, how do you reconcile those conflicting desires?"

Chris's eyes look up from the wacom tablet in his hands. If one were to look closely, one could notice a few sticky notes with various due dates. Underneath said due dates were various logos and emojis. When the baker wasn't spending his days creating delectable sweets, he was often making extra cash doing web design for a few local clients.

While he made good money working at Luna's, he didn't mind any extra cash. Plus, it fueled his passion.

He straightens his glasses for a moment.

"Well..." Chris thinks. "I guess I was sort of working at the bakery cause I felt like...I owed them."

His eyes wander to a photo of himself in his younger days, struggling to carry some of the bakery's ingredients.

"They took me in after....my parents passed. Fed me. Gave me a place to stay. I felt like I owed them for taking me in and that caused a few arguments between me and Jess. Especially when they shot down some of my ideas..."

A sigh.

"That's why I started doing freelance gigs. It's not always my designs but it was something I really liked. It was more to 'feed the soul' I guess. So I guess I felt torn between the bakery and my own designs so I tried to split it."

His hand pets the eldritch cutie on his lap.

"It's worked over the years since I'm pretty good at time management. Plus, I make little subtle changes to the bakery's website since Angela sometimes struggles with new designs."

CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT .002 

Mary often found herself wondering why she hadn’t been placed in Slytherin. As a Gryffindor, she knew better than to wonder such a thing aloud, but she never viewed the house of emerald and silver with the poisonous disdain of her fellow lions - at least not at first. Quidditch was the exception, of course (she was an enthusiastic Gryffindor supporter), but there was an odd sense of camaraderie she felt with those whose cunning and ambition stood at the forefront of their personalities. 

“Ah yes,” the Sorting Hat had whispered in her ear, “I see ambition aplenty inside you, my dear, and a steadfast dedication to achieving your ends. Slytherin would be a good choice...but what is this? There’s more here. Curious, yes. Something daring stirs, something...impulsive.” Mary’s breath hitched, and she squirmed atop the wooden stool. Despite the Sorting Hat declaring her a Gryffindor, Mary never understood why. Not fully. 

 Impulsive. She carried the word, storing it in the back of her mind. She never wanted to be impulsive, never wanted to act without thinking like her housemates were wont to do. The few Slytherins willing to converse with her were calculating and careful, and Mary clung desperately to their example. But, Slytherin acceptance in general was impossible to earn, and it had less to do with her house or her personality than with the “dirty blood” running through her veins. Her fifth year was proof of that. She knew there were Slytherins who didn’t subscribe to the propaganda - they were not all evil - but prejudice ran deep within the foundations of their house and she wasn’t going to be the one to clear it out. She wasn’t going to be the one to save it from itself, and her last two-odd years at Hogwarts were spent pushing back against Slytherin in any way she could. Still, her Slytherin traits are undeniable; she’s careful, dangerously ambitious, and cunning by necessity and by nature. She finds kindred spirits in the few Slytherin members of the Order, but not a day goes by that the Sorting Hat doesn’t hiss in her ear. 

Impulsive.
