 THE  WIND  had  brought  her  scent;  clawed  fingers  grasping  the  awkward  handle  of  a  parasol  gone  astray.   silver  strands  all  but  envelop  him,  unkempt  against  the  breeze.   with  one  hand,  he  tosses  it  toward  the  gowned  woman  with  nary  a  single  word.

        ❝   i  didn’t  want  to  deceive  you.   ❞      the  young  boy  held  his  mask  tightly  in  his  hand,  blue  and  pointed  like  the  faces  of  the  zora.  he’d  had  to  sneak  in  quite  stealthily,  an  adult  form  magically  created  by  the  magic  of  the  mask  to  CONCEAL  the  youngster  within.  it  had  been  easier  to  traverse  the  water-covered  streets  with  slick  skin  and  long  legs,  ( although  climbing  up  all  those  stairs  was  MURDER. )   

 ears  twitch  at  the  sounds  of  flickering  candles  and  wind-blown  drapes,  eyes  darting  from  alabaster  wall  to  expensive  carpet.       ❝   i  was  afraid  that  no  one  would  take  me  seriously  if  they  saw  how  young  i  was.   ❞

      THE  ESSENCE  OF  youth  is  lost;  cast  into  an  eternal  prison  held  against  time.  the  hero  has  chosen  his  path  alongside  the  PRINCESS;  childhood  forgotten.  they  will  rebuild  the  country  together,  with  the  master  sword  an  ever-threatening  die  cast  amidst  their  fate.  still,  some  things  have  been  rebuilt.  redone.  REMEMBERED.  heavy  foots  fall  on  freshly  grown  grass,  body  surrounded  by  a  familiarly  unfamiliar  courtyard  where  the  flowers  did  grow.

 THE  TWO  could  be  silent  in  each  other’s  company,  mere  statues  brought  to  life  by  autonomous  ANIMATION  and  the  promise  of  breath.  sesshomaru  flicked  his  eyes  toward  his  current  suited  companion,  thin  brows  lifted  ever  so  slightly.  but  there  was  more  to  this  chanced  meeting.  there  were  no  screaming  humans  brought  attention  to  his  appearance.  no  weapons  pointed   at   his  neck  or  head.  simply  silence.   still,  healing  would  take  its  time.  an  hour,  two  perhaps.  pointed  ears  twitched  at  the  sound  of  rustling  trees,  of  cawing  animals  that  cried  out  in  the  distance,  their  cries  wholly  unfamiliar  to  him.     ❛   . . .  why  are  you  looking  at  me  like  that?   ❜

              ❛   hey,  i  might   be  a  lotta  things,  but  i’m  not  a  DEMON.   ❜      ears  and  FEARSOME  eyes  aside,  he  was  really  just  a  kid.  without  the  master  sword,  even  with  all  his  masks.  he  couldn’t  change  the  present  anymore.  link  suffled  with  the  keaton  mask  in  his  hands,  its  yellow  color  shifting  under  the  light  of  the  sun.      ❛   hmm,  thing  must  be  BUSTED.  s’posed  to  work  on  FOXES.                      but  you  don’t  have  enough  tails.   ❜
