Having only been in town for a couple of days, Soren had been very busy; with Siobhan’s help, he’d scored himself an “under-the-table” job at The Houseboat, a local bar, and had even managed to get himself an apartment with her help, too. It was the first afternoon Soren had to relax before his evening shift, so he was out strolling the beach, and taking in the town quietly. It was hard to focus on any one thing; sure, most things he’d experienced so far he’d read about, but to actually be apart of this place... nothing had ever made him feel more alive.
Except, maybe - someone caught his attention, and from Soren’s spot where he reclined against his elbows in the sand, there was a strange familiarity about the woman... as if in a long-lost dream, he’d seen her, but different, and this thought kept him staring as she walked closer; closer; closer- her. It was her eyes that finally clicked recognition into place. Soren had swam around her countless times, back when life was simple and he had little on his mind aside from survival and his next meal; she’d been a siren, he had later learned with Scylla’s guidance, and if she was here... was she a captain? His eyes never once left her, and he must have been gaping, startled to realize she was now staring right back at him. Embarrassed and totally caught, Soren clamored to a stand and gave a nervous wave, unsure if approaching now would make his staring less creepy or not. “Hi,” He called out, a tentative greeting, a grin spreading across his face as his excitement built at meeting her- finally.
