Delicate and skilled digits moved gentle, cleaning the wound upon her arm with disinfection on a cotton pad that she dabbed lightly on it, resulting pearly whites to be forced together due to the pain as it was quite a deep cut despite having been an accident. Even though it had been that; an accident, Aiko still couldn’t help the slight sadness that had erupted in her chest when it had just been brushed off by her crewmates who had seen it. It ought to be said that it was a bunch of the newly joined that had been drunk. The nurse knew that if it had been some of the others who had seen it, then the reaction would have been completely different, but even so, Aiko didn’t want them to fight, which was why she had quickly moved to the infirmary to bandage the cut she had gotten from the broken bottle that someone had accidentally dropped from the upper deck. It had hurt, but due to the shock she hadn’t cried out in pain when the broken bottle had cut into her forearm and blood had dripped onto the worn deck in small quick droplets. What she had received as an apology was a mere glance and then the group of newcomers had continued talking. That treatment wasn’t unusual when it came to new crewmates for there were no proper respect from many of them when it came to women, unless they got their ass handed to them, something Aiko didn’t like doing unless it was absolutely necessary.
Suddenly hearing footsteps, big cherry hues gazed up to meet the familiar face of the second division commander, a face that usually brought a smile upon her plump lips, but now, she craned her neck to the side as the frown she was met with made her feel caught in act. She had hoped no one would have come in before she had hidden the wound, but now she couldn’t worm her way out of it, it didn’t help that she was not that good at lying.
“Just an accident, Commander. No need to worry.. I will be fine,” while saying this, Aiko forced a smile onto her light features, such contrary to the man’s standing before her. Yes, she was trying to avoid the question, and hopefully it would work. “Someone just dropped a broken bottle and I was in the way.” ‘In the way’ what a way to put it, almost as if she was misplaced on the ship.
