A Day Off

The teen resided in the center of the city in that small apartment by himself. It was far different than the life he had gotten used to in Vacuo and Mistral but hey, it was home now. The people in Newstark were blissfully unaware of the kind of kid he was and he was able to avoid weird looks. He had grown to be known to be a torublemaker as a little kid and while nothing had changed, it was nice to walk down the street without people gossiping. Surely everyone had a bit of a troublemaking side, right? Why was his so problematic?
Not a day went by where he would regret anything in his past because he knew that everything built up to him meeting his best friend. Sure, Neptune had been nerdy growing up but a lot of that had taken a backseat and now he had to compete with Neptune in more than just looks. At one point it wasn’t hard to have the other beat but after he dyed and cut his hair? It was suddenly Sun’s turn to step out of the spotlight.
He didn’t mind- they were like brothers and where one was found the other was never too far behind. Knowing this the teen left for school with a grin. The day of a test that Sun was far from prepared for he would ask Neptune to skip with him and instead enjoy a day off.
“Yo, Neptune! You ready for today?” He called as he got closer to the school and spotted the light blue hair.
