It felt like Pearl had spent plenty of time meeting Parker’s ‘coworkers’, and the gem honestly felt almost at home by this point. Although she was likely being too much of a helicopter parent, one way or another, she found herself meeting different people that all seemed to relate to her adopted son.
“Hello- are you, perhaps, someone else Parker works with? He’s a sweet boy, really fast- looks like this-” Pearl drew out a picture from her wallet, showing it to the stranger. “I keep managing to meet people who know him, and you seem to be the type to work with him.”

After meeting someone else Parker worked with, Pearl was slowly seeming to become more comfortable with the idea of his job. She’d talked it at least partially through with Parker, and with the need to threaten the hell out of the other mercenaries gone, she could easily try to pull off the ‘cool mom’ guise.
“I’m Parker’s mom. You must be someone who works with him, correct?” She held her hand out for the BLU member to shake. “I’ll have you know that I’ve done combat for thousands of years, although not quite what you all do. Is there even a point to all of it?”

“Parker- I’m your mom. It’s my job to worry.” Pearl is very close to panicking just from the way the other was rushing it off. She’d never seen Parker so... unkempt, and the sloppily cut hair and blood on his cap were making Pearl worry more and more. She honestly just wanted to visit the other nonchalantly and make sure he was alright- and goodness, was she glad she came to check on her adopted son.
“You don’t have to tell me but... I really need to know if you’re safe, Parker, even if it’s been handled.” Pearl wants nothing more than to freak out and scream, but she had learned slowly it wasn’t best to let her emotions get the better of her. Pearl wanted to either wrap Parker in her arms and smother him in comfort or kick the ass of whoever hurt her son- but both of them were sudden and likely not to help the situation at all.
