"Hedin," she had seen him, but from afar, from her room in the tower. Normally he was by Hestia's side, or constantly with Hogni. Hogni, whom he left her in order to chase after him.

She wanted to touch him--his face, to silently tell him she wasn't upset with him. It did hurt, to some extent. She couldn't recall there ever being a time when one of her followers wanted to leave...but then again, Hedin might not have wanted to.

...And the possibility that Hogni didn't either still loomed overhead.

"...I hope you're well. Hogni, as well. I heard--oh," her eye caught the piece of jewelry attached to his left ear. "The information was correct...congratulations, to you both..."

Freya: Are you aware something is going on between two of your elf executives?

"Why wouldn't I be?"

"--Hogni's so easy to read."

"But it'd be a bit unfair for me to demand all their attention be on me, don't you think? The Children's relationships are so fascinating, complicated, endearing...it's so beautiful to be able to witness up close."

"But, it sounds like they don't want anyone else to know, so I'd appreciate it if you didn't tell the others, understand?"

"Oh dear. They really can't keep their hands off each other sometimes, can they?" Not what she had in mind when she picked them up--but honestly, a welcome development.

Something interesting, at least.

"And to think, they probably would've fought until one of them died if I hadn't stopped it all."
