a small moment of freedom was given to the newlywed bride as she could sneak away from the chattering crowd. was happy to get away from some of the older lords and ladies, all of who were congratulating her on her marriage. some already asking her when she expects to be having children. ellie kept up her smile, proper and poised as a good ruling lady should and gave some vague answer about how the seven would bless them when they were ready. really she wanted to tell them to shove it where the sun didn’t shine. could she at least enjoy her wedding night with her husband first before any other expectation being set on her shoulders?

ellie was thankful to spy her friend parting from the crowd as well. wandering over to her friend’s side, she gave her hand a squeeze. “i am glad i will have some friends in the court when i arrive there. if i were to spend all my time with the older mothers and ladies i think i just might as easily lose my mind.” she spoke quietly to ensure no one else would hear them, but allowing a small devilish smile and a laugh to escape. “although i can imagine you will be a busy lady once we get back. how about tonight? any interesting whispers to gather tonight?”

Know an idea I love? That Sigyn is still in the picture while Lyra is around. 

It’s not anything I’ve really discussed before, but I really love the idea of Nari having his ma (sigyn), his mother (angrboða), and his mom (lyra). Sigyn was always there throughout his childhood and is of course the one he has the strongest connection too. He goes to her first and foremost. Angrboða is the second most connected to Nari. He respects her greatly and trusts her, even if he hasn’t spent much time with her, and goes to her on matters of giants and giant magic. And then Lyra is his newest mother figure. They started off rough, with Nari being unsure and unwelcome to change in his family set up, but he’s come around after seeing how happy his father is. He’s still figuring Lyra out, but he likes her.

But yeah, Sigyn being around while Lyra is, a great idea. Nari falls into a comfortableness with having two moms around. Two moms to welcome him home when he’s back to Asgard or from his time in his cabin. Two moms to fret over his health and well-being. Two moms to remind him that he’s loved and has a place that is safe. Of course Sigyn takes priority, as she is his birthmother and the person Nari trusts most in the world-- but he loves Lyra too
