“I was just..– looking for Remi.” A statement that in and of itself seemed bit of a stretch for Caitlyn, but whatever comfort she’d found in the original in the months since her own best friend flicked his switch was strange at best, but it was something. That being said, Caitlyn knew how long it’d been since she’d last seen Lucian. How long it’d been since she’d seen much of anyone, the taunting nature of both her own sire and best friend as they wrought havoc and pressed to corner Caitlyn enough that she might even consider a life without her humanity again. It’d almost driven her into a solitude that reminded her of the way she’d lived before, even now, with a newly gifted daylight ring, she’d barely seen the sun. “Hey, are you..– can I ask you something?”
his eyes looked up to the young one who seemed to be looking for his sister. “ah. unfortunately i cannot tell you where she is.” which was the truth. he had no idea where remi was right now. perhaps lucian had been away from this place too long to really be sure. but he wouldn’t give this girl false direction that would waste her time. he hadn’t seen caitlyn in a long while, and though she looked good for someone dead, she was still caitlyn it seemed. at least he knew she hadn’t completely lost herself. he nodded his head at her question, guiding her toward the sofa while he sat in his usual arm chair. “you can ask me anything.” and of course lucian would always be truthful, it was just who he was. never would he keep an answer from someone if they so much desired it. “what’s on your mind?”
