Draco yanked his sleeve down, hiding the injury on his arm. Obviously, hed been too late. It only made it more suspicious. “Quidditch practice gone wrong. I’m fine.” Lying. Always lying.

If it wasnt supposed to have been somewhat of a big deal, he would have played it up. The dramatic asshole he was.

“Yeah. Sure.”

Why was she actually getting involved? That was why she kept away from people - because they lied. Kept pretending. Wore masks. It was tiring, and Nancy had other things to do.

“You’d better go to the hospital, or I could patch you up, if you want,” she added, shrugging.

It All Started With a Book

It was already past curfew, and all the students - hopefully - were already in their beds. Or at least, in their common rooms, perhaps doing their homework. 

Although the library was usually quite a silent place, which was rather enjoyable to Nancy, it was never as silent as after the closing hours. Though, she never decided to literally close the place before she had left it. 

Therefore, the door was still open when she was putting the books back in their places, the soft whooshing sounds the books made, and her footsteps being the only things that cut the silence. Or at least by the time she heard a familiar sound of the door being open.

“We’re closed for today,” she said, not stopping the cart, pretty sure that it was one of the students who had probably forgotten something. “Please, come back tomorrow.”
