Night stumbled back, arms up to cover her eyes from the blinding light. She yelped and fell as she tripped over something- likely her own tails- and fumed.

Blinking, she rubbed at her eyes and sat up. The light was gone, but... so was the smell of burning...

The kitsune opened her eyes and looked around in shock. Ungo was gone, nowhere to be seen and instead she was.... what was she looking at? What was this place?!

Marcus paced back and forth in front of the PokeCenter. Golbat was fluttering awkwardly around his head -- he was so used to being able to blow off steam to Linoone when he was impatient, but Golbat would have to take the job for now. “I just don’t fucking understand it,” he muttered to the Pokemon. “How am I the responsible one here? He’s got to be hours late by now.” He checked his watch. The officer was two minutes late. “Close enough,” he grumbled. Part of him was worried that the cop had gotten into trouble on his way here ... Worried because of what that meant for the investigation. Obviously.
