“No--” He paused for a second before placing his hand to his mouth. “--That’s not what I meant.” He lowered his hand “I-I didn’t mean to offend you.”
[ caged-littlebird ] After a few days of planning, Alistair and Tanya were about to take off for a hike in the woods. They had even rented a small cabin for two for the time that they would be there. It wasn’t much, but Alistair was looking forward to it. Any moment he got to spend with her was special, something he would cherish forever. Being that he had never got to experience such a thing in his human life, and never considered it after his older brother’s death. Alistair stood in Tanya’s room at the side of the bed, with two backpacks in front of him as he packed a few essentials. Being immortal, they didn’t need much. Change of clothes, lighter for fires, a few books for reading entertainment, lanterns and candles, and so on. As he heard Tanya walk into the room he looked up from a piece of paper he was reading over about the location of the cabin. “Almost ready to go?”

[ Starter for caged-littlebird ] It had been a couple years since the Cullens mishap with the Volturi. Usually these sort of things end in wiping a clan or two out, but to Alistair’s surprise only one person had perished during the trial. The youngest Denali sister. Though Alistair never met her, he could see how great the toll was on her family’s face when she was a pile of ashes on the snowy ground. He did understand how they felt, he had lost his family within a short amount of time. But that was centuries ago and he moved past it. During the past couple years he ran into one of the witnesses that was at Carlisle’s home during the trial, and continued to stay in contact. Alistair found it odd yet sort of comforting that he had a sort of friendship with someone and continued to speak with them more frequently than he had with Carlisle. Alistair walked through parts of the surrounding forest of Alaska, debating whether or not he should stop in and say hello to Tanya and let her know that he was in the area. He slowed his pace down to a halt and looked up towards the sky before drawing in a breath and glancing back down to regular eye level. After a few short moments he sensed someone near by and turned to face the direction they were in. “It’s useless to sneak up on me, you do realize that. Don’t you?”
