He could barely bring himself to look at the stranger not too far from his spot, hiding behind the closest pillar of stone he could find. Every part of his body trembled as the hunger began to take hold once more, a constant feeling that threatened to make him collapse where he stood. Chibi by his side, whimpering quietly as the same hunger tormented him. It only made Nagato feel worse. He swallowed tightly, trying to force words out despite the nerves building up within. He had to, he had to ask. Or else... he didn’t know how much longer he could even stand to walk.
“Please...” He called out from his hiding spot, peeking out just enough to somewhat seen. “Please, do you have any food? Anything at all? It’s been so long... I-I...” That was all he could manage to to force out through the fear and pain.
