in an attempt to post more about my clan/dragons/lore/etc, here’s a few members of my plague church + some info!!!
fhtagn - high priest / asenath - wizard and attendant / edward - wizard and follower
orne - alchemist and medic / yaddith - assassin and bodyguard / arwassa - assassin and bodyguard
fhtagn leads the church, and is the true leader of the entire clan, whispering promises and secrets to the rotten court to keep them under his thumb. despite his appearance, he acts as a charming and charismatic figure, but beneath the mask he’s incredibly manipulative and always scheming. cunning, confident, and patient, he controls the clan from the shadows, and welcomes all new followers with open arms.
asenath is both a powerful wizard and fhtagn’s most loyal attendant, and it’s rare to see the two apart. most believe she follows him blindly, far too enthralled by his speeches and sermons, but she is just as clever and manipulative as he is, and is the only person with any idea of his real personality and plans.
edward, mate to asenath, isn’t really aware of how far out of the loop he often is, but is satisfied enough with the opportunities his place among the church provides him. a wizard and a researcher, he specializes in magic based on infection and corrupted. he knows his mate and leader are both not exactly what they seem, but doesn’t care--he’ll follow their commands so long as he’s rewarded for it.
orne is an alchemist and a medic of sorts. his actual knowledge of healing isn’t so strong, but, like many members of the church, engage in medical practice as a form of research and experimentation. some whisper rumors of necromancy, of calling up long-dead beings and ancient secrets, but orne neither confirms or denies it.
yaddith & arwassa are a mated pair of assassins, bodyguards to the fhtagn, sworn to protect him with their lives. little is known from them aside from their profession and role within the church, though they can be very chatty with clanmembers and visitors alike--they simply never reveal much about themselves.
