So i've actually had this sitting in my sketchbook for so long that i vaguely remember where i got the idea for this. I think i was teetering on a tattoo-esque style...but mixed with inspiration from one of the Major Arcana of a tarot deck.

Specifically the fool (as if that wasn't obvious enough), which i felt tied in with Vieri's backstory and how he was cursed. The Fool, in the Major Arcana, is supposed to symbolize beginnings, innocence, Leap of faith, originality, spontaneity...at least, when it's upright. Inverted, it means chaos, folly, a lack of direction, naivety, poor judgement, stupidity...all things that essentially encompassed what happened to him.

So much for retiring at the end of Endwalker. At least her son gets a kick out of travelling and wants to be an adventurer as well?
