     Being commissioned to cover a Disney song both fills her with absolute happiness and brings out the child who wanted nothing more than to grow up to be an adventuring princess. Sometimes she still can't believe she gets paid to have so much fun. The new arrangement comes to her easily, and soon she's humming the song as she goes around the house. 

When she spots Sanji; however, she can't resist going all out. Grabbing the sides of the skirt of her little summer dress as if it were a full length gown, she goes over to him, singing with a smile. “And at last I see the light, and it’s like the fog has lifted.” Taking his hands on hers, she tugs him away from the kitchen sink where he was washing some vegetables. “And at last I see the light, and it’s like the sky is new.”

Touching a hand to his heart, Alice looks up at him with love shining in her eyes. “And it’s warm and real and bright, and the world has somehow shifted...” A small pause and she holds his handsome face in her hands, leaning in to nuzzle at the tip of his nose. “All at once, everything looks different. Now that I see you.”

     While he’s setting aside all the ingredients he’ll need for this new recipe, Alice fixes the lighting and sets up the cameras. Going back and forth between their kitchen area and the viewfinders, she mentally picks the perfect place to put the tiny bunny figure hiding in her pocket.

She’d put one right in the corner for one of his videos months ago, just to measure the angle she wanted, and forgot to take it out for the actual shoot. So the bun was visible in every cut to that particular view. Funnily enough, his viewers had noticed the friendly little addition and had posted a lot about it in the comments, which, of course, prompted her to keep doing it.

It was her new favorite thing. She didn’t put one in every video. No, no. A bun’s appearance was a rare occurrence! Sometimes she let it linger a bit on the shot, others it was a blink and you’ll miss it moment. Timestamps for them usually climbed high on the top comments.

On her way back behind the scenes, Alice stops to peck her boyfriend’s cheek. Surely he’d noticed the commotion in his comment sections and still let her sneak in what was basically her brand into his videos.

     The one day she’d been too busy to check the weather forecast before leaving the house. It’s like the universe was just waiting for that one slip up to casually drop a storm on her head. She is already pretty much soaked to the bone and it’s pouring so hard that there aren’t many cars going around. Her one piece of luck comes in the form of a restaurant and its cute awning above the tables outside.

She sighs in relief at the discovery of this little safe haven and rests her back against the wall. The strong winds are still spraying water in every other direction, so she doesn’t dare open her bag just yet to check on the integrity of its contents. But like this she can at least wait out the worst of it.

Sighs softly and chinhands at her. "You're so damn gorgeous."

     Alice loves the comfortable silence that takes over them as they’re both focused on their chores. He’s cleaning up in the kitchen while she’s folding their laundry, Lizzie is taking a nap by the window bench and Cinnabun is munching on something crunchy in his basket. Everything about it feels like home.

His sigh has her looking up from the shirt she just pulled from the pile, finding him leaning against the counter, watching her. The compliment catches her slightly off guard and she chuckles through the color rising along her cheeks.

“What’s with that all of a sudden?” She’s wearing her oldest, softest clothes that are a dead giveaway of it being laundry day, and while she feels absolutely comfy, she certainly wouldn’t think herself as gorgeous in them.

     “Unsurprising for anyone who’s known me for more than five minutes, I was a Disney-watching, fairytale reading, wanna-be-a-princess type of kid. And of course, that comes with a biiig sense of betrayal the older you get.” She muses with a chuckle, shaking her head at the thought. “First of all, have you ever tried wearing a ribbon on your hair like Disney princesses do? Can’t be done. That was my first heart-shattering disappointment in life.” And she might still be bitter about it.

“They also give you really unfair expectations of men, too. Well, kinda sorta. A lot of the Disney princes are just... plain useless. They don’t even have names, for Christ’s sake. But when you get to someone like Eric? Oof.” If you say you didn’t want to either be or marry Prince Eric at one point, you’re just plain lying. "That’s not the kind of person that exists in real life. Same for the princesses, really.” 

“...And yet.” Color rises along her cheeks, a smile tipping her lips. “I did end up falling for a prince on par if not better than all of those fairytale ones I grew up with.”

     Her face lit up with happiness and love and excitement when he agreed to give it a try, but it was the kiss to her forehead that had a smile blooming across her lips. Even though he was busy making them lunch, she couldn’t help giving him a tight hug. “Thank you, baby~!” Alice chirped, burying her face on his chest. “Mhmm~” She hummed at his question. They had all the bunny cookie cutters. Bunny shaped kitchen things were her weakness, especially silicone molds and cutters. 

Pecking his cheek, she gave him space to finish lunch in peace and they shared in another wonderful meal. Alice took care of dishes and went on looking for the original video, only to find that it was just a recording of cutting the final product and not a tutorial. She was quite good at baking cakes, but didn’t know much about breads, so she wouldn’t be very helpful. 

“We could make a video for your channel.” She suggested with a smile. “Something impromptu and kinda vlog style?" Since she’d found the original poster’s instagram, she could contact them and ask for their permission. It sounded like a good idea for a video and even a new series for his channel. Alice loved these type of collab-y videos because they helped her find other interesting channels.

     Alice kept her composure despite the warmth across her cheeks. She had never been this blunt with a request before, let alone this sort of request. The open shock on his face had her flush spreading up to her ears, having already grown timid just with how polite she had worded it.

She watched as he stepped closer and gingerly took her hands, looking a bit confused until he guided her fingers to the buttons on his shirt. By the time he voiced a request of his own, she was glad that he couldn’t see exactly how red her face had grown, the caress of his smooth voice to her ear sending a shiver down her spine. 

Swallowing in dry, Alice took a deep breath and let her hands slide down his body, gently untucking his shirt from his trousers and returning to the buttons at the top. She undid them one by one, focusing on keeping her hands steady. Pressing her palms to his bare skin, she slowly guided them up to his shoulders, pushing the fabric down his arms.

Green eyes washed over his form appraisingly, their bright color even more evident given the added flush on her fair skin. A tiny sigh escaped her lips and she leaned in to plant a kiss right over his heart before shifting to the tips of her toes so she could reach his own in a sweet kiss.

“You are a living work of art, my love.” She whispered, overwhelmed by how beautiful he was in every sense of the word.
