sora rarely smiles. the stone statue, they call her. there was a time when she used to smile easy, gazing up at the clouds in pure wonder, her existence pure and untainted, her happiness free to roam the pastures of her lips. he knew her in those times, back when the friendship was lighthearted, laced with a joyride to seoul. summer, smiles, sunlight and soft winds made up those days of their friendship.
now sora was a constant winter, but minhyung brought the christmas out of her. the rare sightings of her smiles were always and only brought out by him. even just the thought of seeing him had her smiling to herself as she clocked out for the day, gathering her personals before heading outside. it was heading towards evening, still late afternoon, and yet the sun was still nearly unbearable. she prayed some clouds would pass over and provide some relief as she walked to the park they were meeting at, but it didn’t seem too likely. the gross humidity was enough to wipe the smile from her lips as she made her way there.
the smile returns in the broad and warm variety as she makes out his likeness in the distance, hurrying her steps to close the distance quicker. “well, look who it is. our prodigal minhyung.” she grins, holding a hand up to shade her eyes as she gazes on him. already she felt ten times better just being in his presence. “tell me you’ve been behaving since we last met up?”
