I know Philip is defo going to die in the finale (I'll honestly be amazed if they keep him alive) So, I'll give my Philip a somewhat happier ending Either he dies but reconciles with Caleb in the afterlife and the brothers finally are at peace together ending their tale for once and and all or, he lives but undoes the damage he's done (as much as is possible anyways), he invented the sigil magic, surely he can undo it, which means the witches are free to explore whatever magic they want He can help replant the palistromtrees he overharvested, a slow progess, but possible, maybe even carve himself a new palisman not sure if the petrified witches can be un-petrified, I think yes since it seems Philip got this idea from the stone sleepers. Lastly putting the past golden guards and Caleb to rest proper, allowing their spirits to go into the light finally This does not mean he's forgiven or what have you, obviously his past sins cannot be undone, nor does he expect people will welcome him with open arms, but he'll finally be letting go of the past and moving on. Ending his cycle of hate and destruction

I initially based my au beastlos on the bear from anhiliation, now for those who don't want to are not a fan of body horror, this movie has quite a bit of that but the bear, oh man that bear! Def one of the scariest things I've seen in a long time and I do love me horror... So, to explain the bear has been mutated, in an earlier scene it attacked one of the characters whom was later found dead by the protag, during a pretty tense scene where one member of the group pretty much snapped and tied the others to chairs in an abadoned house and goes off. Falls quiet when she hears the screams of her dead friend....How is that possible? she's dead after all, so the woman goes off outside to go see her friend, only we hear her scream and things go quiet, and slowly a mutated bear walks in, most of its head is exposed and for the observant ones there's part of a human skull fused to it, and during a nice shot of the bear opening its jaws, it has human teeth too alongside its bear teeth, fun! And to top it all off, the bear's own growls and grunts are mingled with the voice of the dead character's voice, screaming and saying "Help me!" as those were her final words. The bear ends up being killed but man, it's such a intense scene, hearing the bear cry for help and knowing it is suffering makes you feel relief as it's put out of its missery. I'd recommand watching the clip or the movie itself for sure if you don't mind body horror it's quite something! I didn't really stick with it, but part of me is tempted to bring it back since I am planning to lean more on the body horror things when it comes to Belos's curse in my au, and honestly it'd make things worse for Hunter too, as the beasts roars are mingled with his uncle's cries of pain and pleading for help, it's not pleasant for anyone really
