The soft boom of footsteps echoed in the quietude of the library, his boots tapping against the floor with each step. In one hand, he held a book, which would soon be tossed to a desk lying in a small reading corner. With it, many others of a similar shape and topics. He’d been reading for the past hour, looking to see what he could find on the city and its origins. No such luck, as everything he found was either cryptic or something he already knew.
Damn, he really needed to take a break. His head was starting to overload from frustration. Standing, he’d lean his lower back against the chair he’d been sitting in, letting his eyes wander the library.
“--?” Suddenly, his eyes caught something. A familiar mane of white hair, unmistakably one owned by someone he’d met before. Nero himself wasn’t one to make the first approach, but he was pretty obviously tracking her movements with his eyes. Given his lack of subtlety, it would be easy to notice him doing such.
