“Oh, good afternoon! Welcome to Sunlight’s Canopy.”
Colette cheerfully looked up from her doodling as a blonde woman pushed open the door, ringing the shop bells over it. She glanced about curiously, and Colette wondered if it was her first time here. It wasn’t a customer she recognized, at least. Mariela’s shop was a bit different from a usual café, with all the various products on display.
Aside from the menu listing various coffees and teas and the like as well as some baked goods, there were shelves containing some artisanal goods like candles, hair products, and soaps. Behind Colette were rows of potions, each behind a card describing them, mainly medicinal in nature.
“Can I help you find anything, ma’am?” Despite her short stature, the woman had kind of a commanding presence about her. “Or would you like to order a drink?”
