Chance || Devon & Seattle
Devon, just a week shy of finally returning home after a particularly long and arduous tour, had managed to find a bit of free time on a tour bus that was unusually empty--a luxury that she had only managed to capture once or twice within the past year. Quick to take advantage of the peculiar situation, Devon found herself nestled into the corner of the more comfortable of the two couches, desperately scrolling through her extensive music collection in hopes of finding something that peaked her interest at that moment in time. Unable, she finally settled on the option to browse for newer artists, wandering the never ending possibilities encased in one of her favourite websites--Soundcloud. There, in a recommended listening list, she spent a few minutes here and there perusing new tracks by names that were unfamiliar, until a very particular sound had her offering a bit more of her time. The sound of the track, unique and unlike anything she was capable of relating it to, had her intrigued. Seattle Young, the name read. Devon allowed a few more tracks to play before offering up what others may consider a fateful chance--she decided to send Seattle a message.
Hi, Seattle. I'll make this quick, as my intent is only to compliment the tracks that I've managed to find time to listen to. Wow--your sound is so incredibly unique that I'm incapable of finding anything to relate it to. I truly hope that you plan on sharing your talent with more than just the internet; the world needs something like this to overthrow the boring and monotonous radio play.
Regards,
Devon Emery.
And despite having sent the message, the music still played--Devon enjoyed it immensely, after all.
