Pink Diamond: Pearl, maybe they’re right. Maybe there is something wrong with me. But how can we destroy such a beautiful world?
-music starts, Pink activates the viewing globe and shows a human village-
Look at them, Pearl! Aren’t they neat? Their lives so happy, so full, so complete? Looking at them I just think ‘They have everything’ Look at them all Uniqueness untold How much variety can one species hold? (Pearl, speaking) But, My diamond, don’t you have everything?
(Pink sighs, turning the globe to a scene of Gems mingling)
I have Rubys and Sapphires aplenty I have Quartzes and Agates galore You want Peridots? (laughs) I’ve got twenty But who cares? No big deal I want moooooore
(Shift to another human scene)
I want to be where the humans are I want to see Want to see them dancing Living together in a... (What do you call them) Oh! Family Living up here you don’t get too far Everyone required to salute you, praise you Living a life so... (What’s that word again?) Lonely Down where they walk Down where they run Down where they play all day in the sun Wandering free Wish I could be Part of their world
