👫 molly & flint!
Four Headcanons Meme
There’s a part of Molly that continues to wonder if she did the right thing in helping save Flint’s life, but in her heart she knows it was. No matter how she might feel toward him at any one point, she can’t abide death where she can prevent it. So, she ensures that she is one of the only people helping Flint at any one point--the less people realize he’s still alive while he’s incapacitated, the better.
Paradise Lost is only the first book of many they discuss, and while he might find that mildly enjoyable, it isn’t always for the amusement of it. He tolerates her, but he can’t help but test her at times--even if it isn’t intentional (which, let’s be honest, it probably is). Molly doesn’t enjoy being thought of as simple or unintelligent or unimportant, but at times it can help her hear things she otherwise might not; it can help her earn trust where she otherwise wouldn’t. Sometimes Flint wants to test her to see just how intelligent she actually is. Whether that means she might be a threat or a boon in the future.
She used to idolize Flint, before she actually met the man. The name, the legend, it was something to be admired. While she now realizes he’s far more man than legendary being, she still harbors a little of that admiration, still.
He isn’t exactly thrilled that she’s gotten so close to Thomas, in any verse. The constant exposure, however, starts to grow on him. He wouldn’t venture to say that he enjoys her company, but more that it’s...better than nothing? She better not draw attention to it, though--the second she makes him realize how used to her he’s gotten, he’s rather sour again. It’s just...dare he say, fun, to watch the animated discourse between two talkative idealists?
