Finding himself somewhere with genuinely no memory of how he got there seems to be an uncomfortably recurring theme for Date. He has no idea where he is, or where Mizuki went (hadn’t they been going out for unagi together?), or even why he feels he’s forgetting something that isn’t...how he ended up here.
At least he has both of his eyes this time.
He sees a head of pink hair, and without thinking, he moves towards her. Was it possible? Was Iris here too? At least he remembered who she was, rather than having to meet Boss in the middle of the night.
“Hey, Iris!”
He calls out, but she doesn’t turn towards him. Either she didn’t hear him, or she’s pulling a Kaniza.
“Iris!”
He repeats her name as he gets closer, but when the person he thought was Iris turns around, it becomes very blatantly obvious she’s nowhere close to being the same person. Oops.
“Ah, sorry. I uh, thought you were a friend of mine.”
But judging by her clothing, she could very well be an idol, or maybe she worked at Sunfish Pocket? Date didn’t remember seeing her picture on the wall, though...
“Would you happen to be an idol, by any chance? You...remind me a lot of someone.”
