If I had a way to perfectly describe our friendship I think this out be the perfect way. We’re so cute but we’re so terrifying at the same time.

Among the things Gon wasn’t sure of, this certainly was among them.---
Of course, meeting with Hisoka was never bad, but all the same, it never really ended up quite good either. But, Hisoka insisted he had something to show him at the park, so it certainly couldn’t be so awful. At least the man had called him to a public space!
So to the park Gon went. He was surprised to find that there was a crowd gathered around the fountain, so curiously the young boy pushed forward to the front. Hisoka stood at the center of attention, seemingly just finishing a magic trick. Almost enchanted, Gon watched Hisoka in this rather... domestic scene.
Applause erupted from the crowd. Gon clapped along with a smile. “Wow, Hisoka! That was pretty cool!” He said to grab his attention, waving when the man looked over.

The area seemed so familiar now, especially since Gon had mapped everything the vicinity could provide for him. He knew almost every turn, and still liked to look under every rock for something new.
And, returning to look for something old too--
He followed a trail that had long been dead. “Have you heard of a vampire around these areas?” The myths seemed to effectively be dying out, the stories of Ange’s attacks only legends by now. Gon felt a certain pride welling in him. Certainly, Ber had done well.
When Gon thought certainly it would be too hard to find Ber by now-- and perhaps, he wasn’t even in the area; perhaps Ber had made it to another country, and the possibility remained he could have crossed universal borders too-- he caught a clue. A town with an odd pair staying in one of the inns.
So, without any second thought, Gon went to the inn door and knocked on it, waiting with a smile.

“Oh, Hisoka?”
He could never be sure if this was the same Hisoka he made friends with, or if he should be particularly scared. But hey, how often did Gon get scared? Regardless, he scrambled up to the other as if they were friends, still having good news to share.
“I tried out that Bungee Gum you based your nen on, since I saw it in the store the other day!” he informed excitedly. “It’s really good! I can see why you like it so much!”

Little house of boarded up windows and a nailed on door. Gon returned to the hideout on a whim, curious about exploring it more. This time, he wanted to explore without Bernd, because he was sure Bernd might have some bad memories at this place.
It took Gon a good while to decide not to punch down the door, because he wanted to keep the integrity of the house in tact despite it already seeming gray with old-age. After a while of circling the house, he found the door to the basement, slipping in.
The putrid smell of blood filled his nose, stains of red decorated the floor where cleaning just wouldn’t do. Books scattered, some with drawings, and the only thing that didn’t seem to be fallen apart was the ladder, which also was starting to wear with age.
He climbed up it, pushing the door and entering the eerie interior of the hideout. Gray, torn up, and in shambles, Gon pulled himself up to look around. It almost felt haunted.
Actually, the little witch’s hideout just might have been.

An odd hideout, all run-down, in the middle of the woods.
Gon looked up to the sky, finding that the bright blue was steadily becoming a mix of a subtle warm rainbow, orange painting the horizon. The sun would set soon, and the safest option would to make camp for the night. Conveniently, the small shelter was there, and he thought perhaps that it was long abandoned so there would be no harm in a little bit of breaking and entering.
The door was nailed shut, and the windows were boarded up. Altogether, it was curious. It looked like someone tried very hard to keep someone out.. or keep something in, or both.
He walked around the side, freezing upon finding the presence of a blue-haired boy in a cloak, sitting by the well. He hadn’t heard a sound from the other.
“Hello?” Gon spoke up to catch the boy’s attention.

“Oh-- Killua!” Gon was surprised to see his friend wandering the town square that evening, looking as though he was on a mission to carry a bag of chocolate home. He dashed up as best he could, waving to him.
The Killua in front of him looked shorter than his own Killua, so it wasn’t hard to draw the conclusion that it was a younger version of him-- one he’d greet happily regardless.
