“I don’t have bad ideas.” Fern arched a brow, her smirk widening as she pushed the set at the brunette. “C’mon, baby... put it on..” She paused for a moment, before baiting, “I’ll do that thing you like.”

“Hey, hey, hey… I said I wanted you to try it.” Fern smirked, eyeing the daring lingerie she’d secretly purchased after they’d made fun at it in the store the day before.

“Don’t pick up.” Fern gave Kenna’s phone an accusatory look before adding another kiss to the spot behind the other’s ear, muttering a suggestive, “You’re busy.” Running a hand slowly up Kenna’s thigh, Fern smiled wickedly, a glint in her eye as she leaned down to nip at her lesser lip. It was the safest bet right now; tempting her with touch, because she knew very well that Kenna would be a different person once she picked up that phone. Tonight was supposed to be just the two of them, and Fern didn’t want to get into yet another argument about how fucking frustrating it was for her to have to keep the two of them secret. To sneak around as if the two of them weren’t two consenting adults, like there was something wrong with them being together.

“You got a light, doll?” Fern leaned against the rough brick wall next to the entrance to the bar. She didn’t often go out, seeing as every work night was a night in the company of drunk nitwits as it were, but she’d been dragged along by one of her brothers, and then left when he found a nice piece of ass to chase. Typical, really. She should know better than to go out with Dale. It was always the same fucking story. Pale, green eyes sought out the pretty brunette she’d been addressing, and she held up her cancer stick of choice, a wry smile starting to play at her lips. “Or maybe you’re just out here for the fresh air?”
