It was safe to say this city was finding more and more ways to completely baffle him. And possibly put him in danger, too. The vines entangling his limbs were a definite show of that.
“Nngh... Come on...!”
He’d been caught off-guard, as he hadn’t really been expecting giant, sentient pumpkins to suddenly appear and ensnare him in their vines. They didn’t seem willing (or even able) to do much more to him aside from that, so they just left him there. A few kept watch. Each time he started to loosen the vines, start breaking free, they’d come over and tighten them back up. At this rate, another kind of monster was liable to walk in and do him in for the little monsters.
“Damn it, could you just leave me be...?!” He’d curse, as one of them tightened the vines once again.
