If you ask her, it’s impossible not to stare at the other woman. She’s…truly something else. Just by looking at her, anyone could see that. But the more time she spent around Carphira, the more she realized she probably wouldn’t ever be able to get a grasp of who the woman was. She was breathtaking, ethereal, and wherever she went she just seemed to…glide. As odd as that sounded. People looked at her. Like she was something vaguely otherworldly.
❝ Sorry, am I supposed to know what that means? ❞ Her eyebrow quirks up as she turns to look at the brunette, head tilting ever so slightly to the side. ❝ You know you still haven’t told me what your deal is yet. I mean, not to be presumptuous but I showed you my creepy mythical supernatural secret. ❞
❝ My ‘deal’ ? ❞ It took a good second for Carphira to understand her. Wording these days still caught her off guard. ❝Ah, right. I’m not exactly supernatural like you. You were made from a spell, looking back on that bloodline. ❞ The brunette pointed her hand in Caroline’s direction, reminiscing the fateful scene unfold before her. Hiding in the forest and trailing the Mikaelsons, massacre after massacre. Keeping an eye on those children throughout history and making her presence known. Would they still remember her ? ❝ Myself, I just ... appeared one day. ❞
She couldn’t explain it differently because that was what had happened. Emerging from a body of water with the other Firsts flashed before her eyes. Carphira’s hand subconsciously twitched at the memory of swimming through clear water, surrounded by lush greens. Swimming had been odd to get a hold of, but thankfully it had been shallow.
But that was millenniums ago. That pond has transformed into a large bath, sitting in a rather ornate building. They wanted to ‘spruce up the place’.
Carphira rolled her shoulders back, clearing her throat to stop her train of thought. Her psych was headed toward a dark era that she wanted to put behind her. That chapter was done with. ❝ I’m a deity. A goddess. ❞ Carphira was quick to raise a hand, brows furrowing. ❝ And please, before you start listing Greek or Norse gods, I’d like to get something straight. ❞
That was all humans these days seemed to know, aside from God, with a capital ‘G’. ❝ They’re not much different than humans, having creating you all. We had to base it off of something. But I’m ranting. I suppose you’d like to see what I can do ? Or my dragon ?❞ Carphira’s hand lowered to her purse, her familiar sleeping there in his smaller form.
