Ikaros jumps and whirls around when he hears a voice pipe up behind him. It's the middle of the night, and while this isn't the first time he's gotten himself into a situation like this, he hates it every time. So maybe he got hit by a car and he shouldn't be able to stand let alone walk. That's exactly the issue. He never has an explanation for his miraculous healing and, yeah, he can't afford a hospital visit for anything.

"I--um, I was just--" He scrambles for an explanation and finds none, dragging a hand down his face. "I'm fine, okay? Literally perfectly good. I don't need to be here. So I'm just...gonna go." As he speaks, he starts to walk away again. That's all he really can do, aside from fully sprinting, and he really doesn't feel like starting a full blown chase. How fucking embarrassing.

Ikaros doesn't know why he's so nervous. Maybe it's something about waiting years for someone you care about to get released from prison, and he knows Beau must've changed in that time while he hasn't at all. The passage of time works differently for him. It always has. It's not like he ever stopped coming to see him or anything like that, but the worry lingers. Was Beau only glad to see him because he had no other choice, or because he genuinely wanted him there?

It's silly. It's stupid. There's nothing to worry about. Maybe he should've splurged on some nice rental car to pick Beau up in rather than his shitty, old as fuck beater, maybe, maybe, maybe--

Stop.

He takes a deep breath to calm himself, trying to stare so intently at the doors. He almost feels pathetic, being so eager, like some kind of lost dog waiting for its owner. Even still, when the doors open and out comes Beau, Ikaros' heart leaps into his throat.

"...Hi," is all he can manage, taking his hands into his own. It's been a long time since he's felt his touch. It only makes his heart race faster. "Are you ready?"

Ikaros hates hospitals. He really does. He hates how cold and sterile and white everything is, hates being poked and prodded, hates having to try and explain away his miraculous healing. It's all very tiresome and something that he doesn't want to deal with. Maybe he should've expected this, however. He knew that his seven year judgement was coming up. He just didn't expect Jamie to find him.

So imagine his surprise when he wakes up, gasping and weeping with a couple of nurses standing over him while changing out his IV. It had taken him a while to realize where he was and Jamie was sitting in the corner looking equal parts relieved and horrified. He lays there now, staring at the ceiling, trying to figure out how to break it to him gently, or if he should at all.

"...I don't know what you want me to say," he says after a few more minutes of silence, slowly looking over at Jamie with a frown. How does he even word it? Oh, yeah, I'm immortal by the way, and you caught me when the Fates reupped my punishment for seven more years. It sounds ridiculous. "I don't know how to explain it without sounding crazy. You won't believe me, and this isn't where I want to talk about anything anyways."

The music pounding around them doesn't feel loud enough, the flashing lights not bright enough. Ikaros feels like if he squeezes his eyes shut, Ilya might go away when he opens them. But it doesn't work like that. He's drunk. Really drunk. Has been for over a week now, when he thinks about it. He didn't expect Ilya to come back. Why would he have? Why would he ever?

"Fuck you," he practically spits out, wobbling a little as he stands up out of his seat at the bar. "You don't get to do this. You don't get to break my fucking heart and then come back into my life like nothing happened, okay? You just don't!" He feels like he's on the edge of hysterics, his entire body trembling with it. "You--I know you have a girlfriend. Because of your--your god damn image, or whatever. So you just go back to her. And I'm going to fuck off back to Greece. And we don't have to see or think about each other ever again, okay?"

He fumbles with his wallet for a moment before slamming a random amount of cash down on the bar and hurrying to leave. He can't do this. He can't fucking do this. Why is this shit always destined to happen to him? Why can't he ever just be happy?

When he stumbles out of the bar, he leans against the nearest wall and starts sobbing, trying to blindly make it to the bus stop. I still love him, and that's the worst part.

Ikaros snickers as he flops down on the couch next to Alex, laying across his lap like a cat. "I've actually got some people worthwhile here...hmm, no pissers, either. Thank the gods for that. If the worst thing I have to do is call someone daddy, I think I'm set." He grins up at him, waving the list in front of his face. "I mean, they aren't top dollar clients, but we're moving on uuuup, baby. Do I gotta suck your dick as thanks? Or will a kiss on the cheek be good enough?"

Ikaros isn't entirely sure how it happened. One minute, Sass is just laying on top of him as they watch a movie together. The next, they're kissing. Somehow. What happened in between those few seconds is anyone's guess, but haven't they been dancing around each other for a while? Ikaros isn't great at gauging whether or not someone is genuinely flirting with him. He figured they were just being playful, but...

...But here they are, and he's not complaining. He takes a deep breath through his nose and whines a little, wrapping his arms around Sass as if he could pull them any closer. It quickly turns from an innocent brush of the lips to something deeper, more desperate, hands grasping at anything they can reach. They're both touch starved and lonely, so maybe that's what brought them here. That, and, well, Ikaros doesn't think he's worth anything if he's not making out with someone.

Still, he likes Sass. Maybe more than he ought to, especially considering he's planning on getting the fuck out Lakeview as soon as he can. Once they finally part, he's breathing hard, cheeks flushed that odd rose gold color as he stares up at them. "Shit, um--was that--do you...more..?"

Ikaros huffs out a little breath and laughs, feeling his cheeks flush. Is this weird? Maybe it's weird, but he tries not to think about it too much. Even if Mapplethorpe is technically dead, well...it's not the strangest thing Ikaros has ever done. Not by a longshot. Mape's hands are ice cold, which makes Ikaros jump a little when they slide up his shirt. Still, he grins at him, tilts his head and pulls him a little closer.

"Then you should show me how much you missed me, huh?" he breathes, pressing a quick kiss to his lips before trailing them down his jawline and his neck. The weight of Mape on top of him is comforting, something that keeps him from feeling like he's floating away. Ikaros has a tendency to dissociate at the worst of times, but he somehow manages to keep his head on straight now. "I did miss you. I'm sorry. I--you know how it is. I can't stay in one place forever."

It sucks to admit, but that's how it is. He moves his hands to cup Mape's face, a small smile on his face. "But I'm here now, so...let's enjoy it, huh?"
