Does he ever stop talking? Clearly, the blonde currently yammering on in his ear hasn't caught on to the fact that Aesop isn't really listening to him. He's busy, stitching a wound of his. Ah, thinking about it, Mapplethorpe is likely going on and on so much just to avoid the pain. It doesn't make it any less annoying, however. Though Aesop is good at pretending; not allowing the emotion to be expressed visibly nor audibly.
"If you squirm, it'll hurt more." And it likely barely even hurts. Aesop had given him something for it - out of his own stash too. If not for Mapplethorpe's occasional usefulness, he's not sure he'd really bother. Aesop needed someone on his side and it just so happened that the one survivor that could simply never be quiet is the one that proved most useful to him. Of course.
Does he trust Mapplethorpe? Oh, absolutely not, but does he get him things he needs so long as something is in it for him? Yes; that he does. And in that, Aesop tolerates him. Other survivors are far too cowardly. Not to say that the other male couldn't be himself, but he is far more easy to bribe than the others so that's good enough for him. Has to be, really. Otherwise he'd have to get certain things himself more often than he already does. And yes, he'll stick his neck out for certain things himself. His research is worth dying for a couple of times.
There, he's finally done. The deep cut in Mapplethorpe's arm has been cleaned, stitched, and bandaged. Now he'll need to clean his tools. But that's fine - at least they were seeing use. Not in the way he'd like but this is enough for now. Ah, to have been put on the killer's side. To this day, he wonders why this was chosen for him. Part of him wonders if he could ever somehow persuade the Entity to allow him to change sides..
Aesop takes his now bloodied gloves off, tossing them into the garbage "Here," A medkit is passed over to Mapplethorpe. Filled with bandages, things to clean wounds with, antibiotic ointments - things of that nature for taking care of the wound. A shame to part with it though Aesop doesn't like the idea of a wound he treated getting infected or worse. "You'll need this. Take proper care of it." This isn't a suggestion. He needs Mapplethorpe to take proper care of it. Yes, it'll make Aesop mad if he doesn't.
"Now," Aesop begins, eyes closing briefly as he sighs. The sound is more over what he's about to tell him than being directed at the blonde. "I've caught wind that my next match will have you in it with me-" As per usual, straight to business "Can I count on you to distract the killer for me?" He knows about how they love planting traps and all and Aesop's skills will be good for allowing him to get away early game. It's just that they have to find each other first. The only stipulation to Aesop's ability is in that he has to see the other survivor first. "There's something I need to find."
After spotting another survivor, he could set up a coffin filled with a dummy of said survivor; activating it giving the survivor a get out of jail free card after knocked down by the killer and teleporting them to the dummy located in the coffin. Most times Aesop used this ability for himself though if a teammate seems particularly useful? He'll use it for them too.
"I'll use my ability for you if anything happens and if I die, I'll need you to grab what I found off my body before you leave." Because dying meant you'd lose what you had. So annoying.
