such foolishness. what absolute drivel. neanderthal at best. like the faintest shift of moonlit glow does he shift, silvery sheen fanning out with the immediate departure of his eloquent form. away he turns. sesshomaru will not entertain this one.

in other words; return to his pathetically easy to rouse little brother from whence you came or die.

fleeting is her touch like that of ephemeral spring bloom. beautiful for a moment forever suspended in fated passing. to the hunter his attentions turn, fondness brimming within proud golden gaze as claws lift one of many previously plucked blooms within his lap to tenderly tuck just behind her ear in turn. silence is a vice yet in moments like these it is the most powerful weapon of all; to know another without need of words.

oof -- absolutely my dude. it’s no secret or pass off that sesshomaru has incredible senses. demonic traits visibly enhance this overall but he’s capable of tracking just about anything and everyone by whiff of scent alone unless of course they’re in possession of some extremely formidable aspect that prevents/blocks it. miasma, barriers/etc would generally hinder this but he is a natural born predator; that much remains.

blood for blood -- if it’s for rin sesshomaru would have, at the time ( not taking into account any further character development after said point/post series ) singlehandedly slaughtered anyone who even possessed the same smell he found on rin. absolutely no exceptions.

as per post series/more substantial development, he would likely spare lives for rin’s sake. i am more than welcome to threading this/exploring this scenario @feralfang​ ( looking at you buddy ) if someone is up for it!

there is steadiness in the crisp calm of passing breeze despite all ever looming signs of a storm brewing to the west. his lands, ever wrought with the path of conquest and battle appear so miniscule as if somehow nearly forgotten from afar as sesshomaru fixates his gaze ‘pon everything that lay bare before them stretching towards the feudal great beyond. mokomoko merely bends to the youngers will -- a privilege solely granted to rin in the lords favor. as sesshomaru recollects himself in silence talons seamlessly roll lush emerald blades between them this one would bow his head, expression glossed in that of faintest perplexity.

alas the sole cherried bloom he had picked during their prior venture that evidently brought the wandering lord and his entorage to the brink between village and that of vibrant rolling hills is then raised and tucked tenderly behind her ear. so long as rin is happy never would he dare question it.

childlike curiosity is met with sternness of unwavering gaze. as the lord of the west perches a beacon poised towards the great stretch that made his lands upon lone boulder, mokomoko is first to stir at surprise of disturbance. however not unwelcome the scent of the pack is high in her blood, beating within her bones; soul of the wild hunt. all too much like rin is she in the way of many, innocence sharpened at the very end of fangs and claws alike yet brimming with untold strength beneath. it is beyond high noon when she finds him. perhaps in that the little wolfling wishes to play, antics perhaps this one would be willing to indulge with due time.

mokomoko-sama stirs ever so faintly as touch falls upon him so. not to be mistaken for merely a piece of show to simply adorn his great lordship, this essence of pure white does curve about offending fingers if only to sate obvious curiosities before entrapping miroku’s wrist much like a fly that has wandered all too carelessly into the spider’s den. sesshomaru looks upon him, expression unchanged however inquiry is beget in stead of such careless whim.

does he not value his life?

he stands at the precipice of his own unending trial, conquest clinging to every breath like dire need — this deliverance. 

power laps at his very heels like a subservient fool would it’s master, blade so very light within his grasp one might mistake for knowing his own weight no longer. effortlessly does he quell the languid lashes that spill forth like a red river his cup runneth over. so the taijiya sought for him after all. a most welcome and subtly warming revelation indeed. her presence commands a voice higher than this insatiable need for power. with her his fated chain severs and he is neither the perfect assassin nor far feared lord. he is sesshomaru and this — this is enough. 

to the storm within, she quells. even should they face each other here upon hallowed grounds they would leave together on distant offerings made so long ago.
