"'scuse me," Isaiah Reynolds murmurs, glancing at the man walking by him, out on the sidewalk. He's got a staple gun in one hand, a stack of missing poster's under the arm and the other hand holding one of the posters to the telephone pole in front of him.

He pulls the poster back and offers it to Dean. "traveler's eye." The hint of a smile. "i can tell you've been around, same as me. just curious if you could take a look at this an' tell me if you've seen him on your way?"

The poster depicts a man with blonde hair and a straw hat named Elijah Reynolds. He's been missing for more than ten years. Last seen in South Carolina, a far cry from where they're at in Massachusetts now.

"my brother." He offers in way of explanation.

Isaiah very much intends to keep walking. Even as Castiel stops, Isaiah puts another foot forward and tells himself to keep going.

But he can't do that. He just can't go on forward pretending that he doesn't care. It's been a long time since he's seen an angel. Maybe this isn't the angel he wants to see, but it's an angel all the same. With a little faith, maybe this one can lead him to the one he's actually seeking.

Isaiah stops, smiles, turns back towards Cas, hands still casually sat in his pockets.

"something?" He repeats, giving his head a slight shake. "not really. but uh. someone, maybe so."

A pause.

"kinda like yourself, huh?"

The bartender hasn't kicked out Isaiah yet, and he counts that as a win. Especially considering how much he's had to drink. Isaiah is, at the very least, a polite drunk. He doesn't get rowdy or start fights... He holds his alcohol well. He's had a lot of practice.

It doesn't stop the feeling of holiness he senses when Castiel enters the bar. Isaiah doesn't turn around to see who it is. It won't be the angel he wants to see, he knows that. Castiel approaches. Isaiah sighs. Forces a small smile as he pulls a glass to his lips and swallows it down.

"i should be getting out of here soon anyhow." Not that he makes any move to get off the stool. "don't normally see angels in bars. you on th'hunt for someone?"

Hopefully not him.

Isaiah hadn't seen it happen, but he'd heard the crack of someone's fist connecting with someone else's body. He hadn't come running, but he'd come over all the same. Whoever had attacked the man on the ground had taken a look at Isaiah and had gone running, which was fine. Isaiah didn't like to take up fights with humans, if he could help it.

Kevin was... Irate, to see Isaiah. Also fine, Isaiah was used to people being unsettled-- even frightened by his presence. He only snorts softly, kneeling down and offering out a hand to the other man.

"just makin' sure you're still here on earth with us living folk. seems like y'took quite a hit."

Isaiah knows the man near him is a demon. He knows it. It's some kind of aura that hangs about him that Isaiah can just see. He assumes it's because of his holy connection, though for sure? He doesn't know why.

As a rule, Isaiah doesn't care for demons. He spends most of his time exorcising them for a reason. Still. There could be something to be gained from this conversation, and the demon in question isn't doing anything at the moment.

Isaiah takes a sip of his own glass, and glances Crowley's direction. "th'preacher of my old church back home. i'm pretty sure he pushed my brother to do something horrible that made him take off."

His southern accent is subtle, but there.

"there was a lot happening with that. i'd love t'get another perspective on it. if uh, you're willing to talk to me, that is."

"elijah renoylds." Isaiah repeats the name on the missing person's poster. The picture shows someone, looking to be in his teens, with dirty blonde hair, a wicker hat, and a wide, lopsided grin. "have you seen him?"

Well the title says it all, don't it?

Isn't often Isaiah pulls his gun but he pulls it now. The noise is loud and clear, he fires the shot but doesn't quite hit the person he's aiming for. If.. That is a person. Isaiah ain't too sure on that front.

He curses softly under his breath and starts to take aim again.

There's no recognition in Isaiah's eyes when he looks at Jesse. Isaiah isn't the type to keep up with music, hymns are about all he needs. Rarely does he step into whatever is mainstream at the time, and he's one of those people who drives in silence, not with music blaring. Celebrity culture was of no interest to him, really, he's got more pressing matters on his mind.

But Jesse's comment about the leaf in his hair is enough to get his cheeks to go near as red as his hair. Despite vanity being something of a sin, Isaiah really did take pride (another sin!) in his hair and making sure it was kept nice. Seemed Mother Nature had other plans, though, and Isaiah gives a soft little laugh before bowing his head.

"sure thing. why don'tcha grab that for me?"
