“Oliver?” Jarvis whispered gently, entering the other’s room. "Are you...Wow.” The place was spotless, every inch perfectly clean and Oliver seemed quite focused on scrubbing a stain in the desk. “Hey, Oliver you didn’t...”
“I’m almost finished.” Oliver interrupted, not bothering to look at whoever had entered the room, eyes on the wood he was cleaning. “I’ll be down in a minute.”
“You said that an hour ago.” Jarvis told him.
“Did I?” Oliver mumbled and kept cleaning. “I guess I lost track of time. But in a minute, I promise.” Jarvis sighed, walked towards the other and placed a hand on his shoulder.
“In a minute, Jarvis. Just...This stain.”
“You need to stop, Oli.” Jarvis said gently, placing his hand over Oliver’s, stopping him from scrubbing any further. The other just blinked and looked at Jarvis, a frown of confusion in his brow. “I know you want to keep your mind busy but please...You need to eat. Do you think you can do that?”
“Can I wash the dishes after?”
“Yeah...” Jarvis said with a sigh. “I left the dinner plates for you. I thought you’d appreciate it.” He smiled a little and guided Oliver out of the room and into the dinning room. “You gotta eat first, okay? I’ll be with you so we can talk. Keep your self busy, is that okay?”
“Yes. Yes, I think it’s okay.” Oliver nodded, allowing Jarvis to guide him, sit him down. “Thank you.” He whispered after a moment, looking at the plate of spaguetti Jarvis had set in front of him.
“You don’t have to thank me.” Jarvis assured him.
“But I do...I’ve been ignoring you and you are still...” He looked up, biting down his lower lip. “You are still you. You are still Jarv and I was scared you wouldn’t be but right now you...”
“It’s okay. Don’t worry about it.” He kissed Oliver’s forehead. “Just eat. You are going through a lot, we are good. I promise.”
