Just like his grandmother had always taught him, Kang Joon knew he had to return the favor and show his gratitude. A month ago he had surprisingly received chocolate from Yooa. But since he just knew how to make homemade dishes (mostly based on meat and stuff) he didn’t dared to make some himself in order to return it on White Day. So when he heard about Chococon, he was somewhat relieved. He didn’t intended to be a asshole, so this was the only way to thank her properly.
From the way Yooa always behaved around him Kang Joon had noticed her little crush on him, he appreciated her feelings, but didn’t approached her about it because of the contract tieing both of them down. In particular he didn’t really thought intended to do something about it at all, if she never confessed, there wouldn’t be any need in rejection. Sounded pretty much what a asshole would do, but it was his way to protect both her and his dream of getting to the very top. Even when he had moved on, there was still a tiny part of him missing Rose, and he wouldn’t ever make the same mistake and date someone from Royal. The chance of falling apart was just too high. And regardless everything, he hadn’t pretty much thought about Yooa in that way yet. Probably shouldn’t as well.
So he just goes out, rushing through Chococon, not even paying much attention about everything that can be done, just fastly grabbing something which might be of Yooa’s type. He is still a little allergic to happy couples after all. When he turns around the corner, his amber coloured eyes noticed a chocolate lotus which seemed pretty perfect. It reminded of him but at the same time, remembered her of the flower he was representing in the Royal Garden, the same garden she was blooming in as well. They weren’t supposed to let their friendship rot away.
As soon as he had bought the present, he returned to the Royal building, in hope of meeting the female he was supposed to give it to. Upon seeing her, he approached her with a big, cheerful smile. “Yooa! Come with me for a second, I have a little for you!”
As well as the Valentines chocolates turned out, she knew better than to expect anything back from Kangjoon, or from any boy for that matter, on White Day. Her previous relationship hadn’t worked out due to her dedication to the trainee life, and she was far too busy to meet anyone new too, and dating within the company? That seemed like a disaster waiting to happen. Maybe she would just surprise Dahye with some chocolates and call it a day.
As usual, she spent the day in the practice studio, working on her rapping, spending the whole day on it as always. One would think she’d be bored of it by now but her determination wouldn’t allow for that to happen. The coach had come to really like her by now, but with that amount of time spent together you’d have to either love or hate the person. She felt lucky it was the ‘love’ side that she fell on with him. She had progressed a lot, but there was still a long way to go if she wanted it to be a viable skill to show off. If Royal knew anything about her, though, it was that she would power through until she achieved what she wanted to achieve.
She was on a small break, meant for her to eat which she was getting more accustomed to now. She wandered slowly in a small routine around the door of her studio she had been in most of the day already, stretching her arms as she took bites of a sandwich. She needed to stay limber so she could avoid soreness of course. That was when she heard his voice. She hadn’t been expecting it, he had caught her off guard, sending a blush over her cheeks. She forced herself to swallow, setting the food down with the rest of her packed meal, wiping her hands off before turning to him, trying to smile.
“Kangjoon oppa! Hi!” She gave a small wave, hoping to God she didn’t have any crumbs on her mouth. “Hm? You have... wait what?” He had something for her? She was confused beyond belief, but she gave a nod and began to follow him. What on earth could he have for her? It wasn’t... no, it couldn’t be. There was no way.
