Katherine Calvert Moodboard
A selection of songs from Katherine Calvert’s “Invincible” Playlist
“Pain behind my eyes I turn into strength. Oh I will fight, I will survive. I am invincible, I am unbreakable, I am a diamond cut to last. I am unstoppable, I am a hero, Like a phoenix from the ash” [I am Invincible by Cassadee Pope]
“Cause when push comes to shove, you taste what you’re made of. You might bend till you break ‘cause it’s all you can take. On your knees, you look up, decide you’ve had enough. You get mad, you get strong, wipe your hands, shake it off, then you stand.” [Stand by Rascal Flatts]
“You didn’t think that I’d come back, I’d come back swinging. You try to break me but you see what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger, stand a little taller, doesn’t mean I’m lonely when I’m alone. What doesn’t kill you makes a fighter.” [Stronger (What Doesn’t Kill You) by Kelly Clarkson]
“That don’t impress me much. You think you’re cool but have you got the touch? Don’t get me wrong, yeah I think you’re alright but that won’t keep me warm on the long, cold, lonely night. That don’t impress me much.“ [That Don’t Impress Me Much by Shania Twain]
“Now I know that things are different than they were in Daddy’s days, but I still believe what makes a man really hasn’t changed. You’ve got to stand for something or you’ll fall for anything. You’ve got to be your own man not a puppet on a string. Never compromise what’s right and uphold your family name, You’ve got to stand for something or you’ll fall for anything“ [You’ve Got To Stand For Something by Aaron Tippin]
“R-E-S-P-E-C-T! Find out what it means to me! R-E-S-P-E-C-T! Take care, TCB!“ [Respect by Aretha Franklin]
“I don’t believe in self pity, it only brings you down. May be the queen of broken hearts but I don’t hide behind the crown. When the deck is stacked against me I just play a different game. My roots are planted in the past and though my life is changing fast, who I am is who I want to be“ [I’m A Survivor by Reba McEntire]
“She’s a wild one, with an angel’s face. She’s a woman child in a state of grace. She was three years old on her daddy’s knee, he said you can be anything you want to be. She’s a wild one, runnin’ free.“ [Wild One by Faith Hill]
“You’re damned if you do and you’re damned if you don’t so you might as well just do whatever you want. So, make lots of noise, kiss lots of boys or kiss lots of girls if that’s something you’re into. When the straight and narrow gets a little too straight, roll up the joint, or don’t. Just follow your arrow wherever it points“ [Follow Your Arrow by Kacey Musgraves]
“Heartbreakers gonna break, break, break, break, break and the fakers gonna fake, fake, fake, fake, fake (the fakers baby). Baby, I’m just gonna shake, shake, shake, shake, shake. I shake it off, I shake it off“ [Shake It Off by Taylor Swift]

[Biography of Katherine Calvert]
FACTS
Name: Katherine Amayah Calvert Nicknames: Kat, Kate, Katy-kat (family only) Age: 37 Birthday: November 21, 1982 Occupation: Homicide Detective Waitress at Tom’s Diner/Escort Status: Single Sexuality: Bisexual
BIOGRAPHY (TW: Bullets, Stroke, Guns, Major injury)
Katherine Amayah Calvert was born and raised in Portland, Maine. Her mother, a Canadian woman who had moved to Portland to help a friend open a business, had met and fallen in love with a police sergeant. Their story was picture book perfect, at least from Katherine’s perspective, and had it not been for her father’s stroke it would have stayed that way. Their marriage survived, though, and Katherine went on to follow in her father’s foot steps.
Relationships had been fleeting and none that resulted in anything worth losing her career over. A career that Katherine started to build from the moment she turned eighteen. Attending the police academy and working her way through the ranks she eventually found herself the lead detective for the homicide division of her local precinct. With the highest conviction rate in the department she was on the fast track to becoming Chief of her division. Her fiancé was fully supportive and her life was exactly where thirty-four year old Katherine wanted it to be before the incident happened.
The bullet that had lodged herself precariously against her spine had almost taken her life, but Katherine was every bit as stubborn as her father and through some small miracle she survived. Unable to continue her duty, she begrudgingly handed in her badge and gun just before she started intense physical therapy.
Her mental health was a constant struggle during those months and Katherine withdrew into herself, secluding herself away from everyone. It became too much for most to handle and she lost contact with many friends, as well as costing herself the relationship she’d enjoyed dearly.
It took many hard months of digging herself out of the multitude of holes she’d fallen down, but with the help of her family Katherine did learn to walk again. Nearly two years after the incident she was able to move into her own place twenty-five miles away from Portland after working part-time shifts at a local diner for the better part of a year. Katherine still works 20 hours a week, early morning shifts, now at Tom’s Diner near her apartment but the job that helps her keep the roof over her head is the one she’s come to love the most.
She never thought being an escort would be for her, but the pay paired with the company and the ability to satiate her sexual urges without needing a consistent partner was something she found quite enjoyable. Her days as a detective still linger in the back of her mind though, and she has protocols in place to keep herself safe on every encounter she takes. She is currently working on figuring out how to start her own escort service for more exclusive customers including background checks and safety measures.
