Perhaps it just started out as a cute company outing, Broadway was so close by, most of their patronage were cast and staff of some of the shows and they weren’t going to say no to free tickets from a regular customer working on a show. But the theatre was interesting, musicals, plays, Tomas never really indulged in them before. And now having such close access to them, day tickets were cheap, especially for the Shakespeare plays. Maybe it’s a little sad going alone, but it was a kitchen crew past time and they rarely could coordinate unless they closed. So Tomas took one of nights off to indulge at the playhouse, a run of a new Shakespeare play he hadn’t seen before, but yet some of the casts were familiar, too familiar to recognise from an instant.
He forgot to grab a program he promised one of the pastry chefs that collected them, trying to get back in through the crowds that were huge, probably waiting for the cast, “oh- sorry-- I just.. need one.” Tomas managed to buy a program book before quickly being shoved into someone, his lanky height didn’t really help either. “I’m so sorry..”
