The Players and Characters
Shadow: A DM, alongside Tails. Shadow enjoys playing the game as it’s a means of venting his frustrations, and he finds it to be a very creative outlet. He’s a very “by the book” sort of DM, but isn’t opposed to fudging a few things, be it for the sake of fun or realism. While he’s not against homebrew, he prefers to use the stuff straight from the manual.
He does not, however, enjoy when people derail his campaign, and he punishes this harshly. While he is a fair DM, he isn’t afraid to be outright mean to players should they venture too far off the beaten path.
Shadow has a main character, an Eldritch Knight Fighter, as well as a dozen other throwaway characters, and can throw together a character at a moment’s notice in order to play a new game or to sub in for someone. He always carries around a shoulder bag full of handbooks, character sheets and dice.
Tails: Tails is another DM, but he’s a lot more lenient than Shadow is. He understands Shadow’s whole “by the book” nature, but decides to take a more freeform approach to DMing his games. He is the kind of DM who loves to not only use homebrew, but to create it as well. He’s the one who got Shadow, and most of his group for that matter, into the game.
Tails’ main character is a War Mage Wizard, and he seems more content with DMing than playing, though he’s happy to play in a game. When he DMs, he enjoys balancing difficulty and reward. He will even throw his players a bone on occasion. Tails carries around a bag similar to Shadow’s, full of notebooks, handbooks, maps, dice and more.
Knuckles: The Echidna is the kind of person who prefers roll-playing over roleplaying. Knuckles enjoys playing the game, but he’s not a big fan of the interactions so much as he enjoys the combat segments. He plays a Barbarian with a Bard dip, allowing him to deliver fierce unarmed blows. Tails even allowed for him to do more damage wearing armored gauntlets.
Sonic: Sonic is more into his roleplaying than Knuckles is, on the other hand. Sonic plays a Bard, using his charm and wits to persuade people for information as well as lending his lovely singing voice to combatants. His Dexterity is the highest stat, as he understand that bards aren’t very durable, and his Charisma stat isn’t anything to sneeze at either.
