however, we’re not too familiar with sea knights! we do have sea dragons (cryptid & seahorse variant) over here, are those something you have? as for your questions, the router doesnt lie as far as i know. and for the research thing, im personally fine with it!
Let me tell you about sea knights then. Also, yes, we do have sea dragons.
Now, unfortunately I haven’t had the opportunity to see one in person, but this is all what I was told by some of the anomalies that live in the nearby lake.
Sea knights are a certain subset of merfolk that almost exclusively live in saltwater. Apparently they can live in freshwater just fine, but none would do so willingly. They seem to primarily have a problem with the taste, or rather the lack of it.
Their appearances vary wildly, but generally it matches the coral and plant life of their area. (No information on if they are able to change their appearance for camouflage in different areas when travelling).
A local siren claimed that they were made of coral and similar materials all the way through. The merfish with them though then slapped them in the face with their tail fin and blubbered something in obvious disagreement.
Sea knights are reported to be rather small, never reported to be seen more than 14 inches tall and spotted at as small as half an inch.
It’s very difficult to know what their personality or behaviors are like, though I remember all my sources definitely thinking they were pretty snobby and standoffish towards other kinds of beings.
When they are seen it is usually riding a seahorse of comparable size. (I suspect sea knights actually do the brunt of the work when swimming like this, simply guiding the seahorse as a means of using their ability to change directions).
