"Very good." Boss then turned to the other side of the table. "Dr. Laurel, what do we know of Gaia Nova so far?"

Laurel perked up immediately. Sharing her knowledge of the mission planet was something she never tired of.

"As Officer Regalia said, Gaia Nova was previously called earth." She paused to look at the spinning holograph of their destination.

"Centuries earlier, the planet was hit by what Gaian's called a plague. It hit them fast and without warning. It was some sort of underground fungus, that not only began to terraform the planet, but change it's inhabitants as well. Our spy's on the ground haven't been able to explain just how the planet has changed just that the inhabitants have began calling their home Gaia Nova somewhere in late 2200's."

Laurel set down her things, and together both girls headed down a level to the conference room, where everyone was already waiting.

"Glad to see everyone is on time." Their XO addressed them from the front of the table. Like the XO of every ship for their kind, their XO was a robot. Built by the Crystals to take up that position on the ship, as it could not be trusted to any one of the colors, that is without giving one more responsibility than they other.

"You each may call me by my designation, BOT-GN, or..." Before the XO could finish, Dragon chimed in from the end of the table.

"How about Boss? It's nice and simple." A few of the others around the table nodded in agreement. BOT-GN seemed to process the idea for a moment before responding.

"Fine, you may call me boss. We recognize this as subtle nickname."

Leaving the mess hall behind, Laurel headed across to the next room, hoping it was her destination. Thankfully it was.

"Laurel?"

"Cinder!" Laurel was surprised, but in a good way. She immediately gave orange a hug. "I'm so glad someone I know from the academy is on my team. I was afraid I wouldn't know anyone!"

"I think the admiralty board does that on purpose. I'm sure they monitor us to see who we befriend so they can build a stronger team or something. But what do I know, I'm a doctor, not a psych major." Cinder gave a small shrug as they pulled apart, the statement caused Laurel to laugh.

"Anyway, you should set your stuff down and we should head to the conference room. You know XO's, they don't tolerate being late."

As Laurel walked into the next room she noticed Teal sitting patiently in a chair around a large table. The woman spoke, not looking away from the papers in front of her.

"Oh hey! I'm Freedom. Welcome aboard. XO says meeting in five. I'd hurry and unpack if you haven't already."

"Thanks, I will, and I'm Laurel." She waved as she hurriedly moved on.

The next area she found to not be the room she was looking for. Two men were inside, investigating the kitchen.

"How stocked do you think this place is? I mean it's gotta be right. We'll be here a while." The yellow one said aloud as he rummaged through the fridge.

"If it's not I'll have to have a word with my father." Red said with an angry tone. "No one wants to deal with him."

Laurel quickly ducked back out of the room searching for her destination.

Powder's head cocked to the side, obviously thrown off by Laurel's attitude. "Okay, I promise I didn't mean to offend. I was trying to break the ice. Most people love my quirks."

Laurel half smiled. "I might have taken it a little too seriously... I've studied this planet since before I knew I'd be assigned here. So..." She shifted awkwardly a few minutes, before turning away.

"I should go unpack... I'm sure the XO will be calling a meeting soon."

Powder pouted, shifting to put her hands on her hips. "Hey you never even told me your name!" She called after her, causing her to pause.

"It's Laurel." She replied, turning back with a little smile before once again heading further into the ship.

Powder glanced behind her with a smile, quickly returning to the console in front of her, pressing a button as she did so.

"The final crew member has just arrived. Setting course for mission destination. Estimated Arrival... 1 Month, 1 Week, and 7 Hours. Don't worry, I promise to get us there safely." She giggled, let go of the button, pressing a few more before she stood up.

"Hi, I'm Powder. As you probably guessed I'm the pilot. I'll be getting us that planet safely. What was it called? Huh, I can never remember."

Laurel seemed a bit put off by this. "Gaia Nova. Pretty sure we were suppose to study the mission before we took off. I know I did."
