"Hey you!" There were probably several turns of heads due to how loud the libero's voice was - not like it was anything new; Nishinoya was /known/ for being loud. However, he jogs right up to Alice, skidding to a stop before her. Granted, it wasn't yet White Day, but being she was a transfer student, he felt compelled to help her get more adjusted. He offered a single flower to her with a brilliant grin. "-- Welcome to Karasuno! Happy Valentine's!"

     Alice stops in her tracks at that very non-specific call and turns in time to see someone she recognizes but has never actually spoken to heading straight towards her. “Yes..?” She says softly, wondering what he might want with her.

The flower caught her entirely by surprise, a soft flush tinged her cheeks as she reached out and took the offered gift with a smile blooming across her lips. What a lovely person... Ah! Alice had made cookies for the classmates who’d been kind enough to help her catch up with all the work load and there were still a few left.

“Thank you, Nishinoya-san.” She offered him a thankful bow and reached into her backpack, retrieving a colorful baggie tied with a polka-dotted ribbon. “For you too.”

Flesh had become gnarled and twisted with time   and burns and gashes thick, deep and there with a   permanence. Most would have felt a coiling in their   stomachs and become sick at the sight. No amount of   observation could by any way justify them, nor make them   appear any less horrid upon what had once been   pristine skin. So little remained unmarred, if any at all.

   Years and years of damage. There were tears unseen,   but heard through the angered words of gritted teeth.

   It was incredible. Uncanny, even.

   There was a sense of kindred spirit that notioned between    those that nursed a psychic prowess, a telepathic field—    but the experiment felt only frightened. There was but supremacy    to this mind, this power; unequalled, and made her look as but    a government playtoy, rather than a weapon of mass destructive    intent. Least, she felt so. It prompted the albino to step away    and heed caution. She sported little threat at this point, however.

   She was blind; she could not see them. She was blind also to    the trickle of blood that stained her upper lip, exacted by the    sheer pressure of the clash of telepathic fields. It strained her    mind.

   "... Please, do not—do not come any closer."

   These "people," of course, were far from the definition of    people at all; the term ill-fitting and alluding to the idea that    they had any semblance of humanity. They did not. They    were beasts, monstrous with slithering tendrils and thrashing    jaws and shrewd, unkind eyes—masked by articulation and    false civility. Wolves in sheeps' clothing. She chuckled grimly,    restraining a wince.

   "Let me just call it an elaborate game of hide and seek. I    hide, they seek—and I pray that they do not find me."

   No amount of innocence could be canvassed with    a stroke of a brush when it was sanguine that spattered    ivory skin. The beast that snagged in a weft of veins was    of ill-fortune and fear, and accountable for the horrors    that had occurred. The experiment was frightened—and    when one was hunted, be it for sport or containment    anew on the part of mankind, accidents happened. She    did not want to belong to them again.

   She could not belong to them again.

   Pale hands, flecked with blood that was not her own,    shook violently as she raised them in an expression of    her submission. She'd no intention of hurting that which    she could not see, no—blindness was unkind.

   "You have to listen to me—it was an accident, I swear.    I did not mean to—to do it. Please, please—they will    take me back to that place— !"
