He should have known better than to cross paths with thugs who did not know anything but to harm others out of entertainment. Money was another obvious reason but since they figured that they would not juice a dime from the man, they've decided that it was better to just end his life. The respawn system was turned off, making it all the more certain that he will not come back to avenge himself if they succeeded in killing him. One man braced himself to wound his face but was flipped over with a single hand, irritating him all the more.
There were only five of them at the beginning but they doubled in number after the incident. Circling around their target did they decide to gang up on him. Oddly enough, they were conceited and approached him one by one which, expectedly, give off the same result. Still, the supposed leader of the group ordered his companions to come at the man in full force, at the same time. This made the immortal flinch, knowing that there's a possibility that they might succeed in cutting his head off. Not to mention the leader was holding a sharp sword in hand.
Which was swung in his direction in full speed. Following his instincts, Kaname managed to stop it before it was able to slash his throat completely. The downside was his bleeding hand who was preventing the blade from going further. Regeneration should work now but for reasons he couldn't decipher, it was slower than usual. Another order was given to the others and that was to hold him down. Is he going to die just like this? It was just his first day and it wasn't in his intention to harm them or harm anyone at all.
