Elizabeth “Liz” David;; 3/4 African American, 1/4 Korean;; 46;; She and Knox grew up in the same community when they were little but didn’t bond till about middle school where they were both ostracized for the strange food they were given by their parents for lunch. They’ve been thick as thieves ever since. She grew up with her father and her half-Korean mother and her maternal grandparents. Her father passed away when she was about seventeen of Colon Cancer.
Both found eachother and discovered their sexualities separately, but came to an agreement of being eachothers beards if anyone asked. Then they joined the army together and Liz and Amelia met, fell in love, and Amelia was quickly moved into the living situation with Knox. It took a little while, but they figured out a way for them to be parents. Artificial insemination. And her best friend was right there, so why not?
Knox was a willing sperm donor, but even when the kids came around their living situation didn’t change--except to a bigger house. He stuck around as their father. It might be a little strange that the kids have two moms and a dad who wasn’t sexually involved with either of them, but that’s how it worked out. It’s an arrangement all of them enjoy and one that Liz wouldn’t change for the world. Even if she does hate Knox’s cats half of the time.
She and Amelia went to Massachusetts in 2004 and were married. Knox has a million photos, Blake was the ring bearer, and Bridget was such a confused little flower girl.
