She’d counted her money over and over again, occasionally looking up at the display of chocolate and Valentine’s stuffed animals before looking back at her money. The sad truth was setting in: She wouldn’t be able to buy everything she wanted for her friends. Maybe if she switched around a few things, like not trying to buy everyone she knew a stuffed animal, it would work. But who to give the stuffed animals to? There were a few people that she wanted to give a stuffed animal to, but would her other friends be mad that they didn’t get one? If she gave them all chocolate would they be happy or annoyed that it was such a simple gift?
Ugh! This Valentine’s Day shopping was way too hard! She was close to taking off her tie and throwing it on the floor in frustration when she spotted the familiar face walking past the aisle. “Luke.” She ran over to him, colliding into him and wrapping her arms tightly around his waist. There was no escaping from Ib when she needed help.
“...Help.” She looked up at him, resting her chin on his stomach. “Valentine’s.”
