I think we should all start being nicer about cantaloupe and honeydew melon
you’re not a “nice guy” if your kindness comes with expectations
Atp I'm just hard blocking people that beg or guilt trip people for free selfship art. Like, I'm over seeing artists in this community be disrespected in that way.
Please support your artists ✨
I get it, I went years without being able to commission art or not having any people offer me any. Of course we all wanna see ourselves with our babes. It sucks.
But to sit around and cry and whine and act entitled to a service because you can't afford it, isn't okay. It's demeaning. Art is hard work, it takes a lot, it's time out of someone's day, it's a skill that's been practiced that not everyone has.
"How do I beg for free art without it sounding bad?"
Uhm, you don't.
It's just ugly behavior. I may not be an artist myself but some of my best longest standing friends and my partner are and I've seen how soul crushing it can be for them to see people behave this way. It's disrespectful, please understand that. If someone gives you free art? That's so cool and that's so kind of them to have made the effort for no other reason than they wanted to, but you are not ever entitled to that.
Artists are to be valued. Always.
canadians: thank god for america
immigrants to the USA: i'm so thankful to be here!
normal black americans: let's celebrate freedom!
white millennials with fancy degrees posting from their family's beach house: i hate amerikkka it's so racist and oppressive and it was founded on stolen land anyway. sharing posts about hating my country on my instagram stories makes me an activist who cares about real problems.
“rpf is illegal now” “hey jacob don’t you know we’re not allowed to talk about hudcon anymore”
Some of y’all sound like a boomer who’s been told that sexual harassment in the workplace is wrong and doesn’t know if he’s still allowed to say hello to his female coworkers
“you can’t do anything these days!”
